The Fossilized Chickens took on the UNEARTHED challenge with enthusiasm, exploring how archaeology helps us uncover the past to discover the future. The team earned the Robot Design Award at qualifiers for their innovative robot construction and programming.
Innovation Project
The Fossilized Chickens built a prototype of a hand-driven auger that archaeologists can use to test soil samples for dangerous substances before digging. The device helps keep archaeologists safe in the field by identifying hazards early in the excavation process.
